Paper lantern celebration

A sneer peek at what's to come tomorrow! From the spring summer catalogue this stamp set is one of my many favourites. I saw it and knew this technique would be perfect for recreating that glow on the night sky.
The technique is really simple you just stamp in white craft ink, let it dry and then colour over the top using the fab stampin' write markers. What's even better is that tomorrow you can buy everything to make this card - the stamp sets (the background is gorgeous grunge) the fab stampin' write markers, white craft ink pad, gold ink pad and card stock - by doing this you would spend over £45 and qualify for a sale-a-bration freebie!
There are some really gorgeous things in the new catalogue and sale-a-bration I just can't wait for you to get your hands on them :-)

Scrapbook time

A while ago I got a load of photos of Hyrum printed and meant to scrapbook them. Well I'm finally getting around to some of them :-) using up some retired supplies and some still current stuff :-) I'm really chuffed with how it came out :-)
The statement in the middle is "beautiful dreamer" and I loved the effect of the scattered pearls, I'm usually such a "precise" crafter so going for the scattered look often scares me but I do love how it worked out :-)

A card from last weeks card class

Sorry to those of you who couldn't make it last week but to those who did we had a fab time :-)
We tried out the masking technique using some ripped, left over card stock. We sponged the background and let it dry a while before we stamped on top using the wetlands stamp set. I am loving this stamp set at the moment and its great for a male or female orientated card. The card we did was a one-layer card but this can easily be mounted and added to. I think adding some linen thread and maybe a button would be a nice touch, mounted on some early espresso card... Thoughts for later ;-)

My next class will be on 15th feb and I already have everything I want to do planned out! I'm so excited!

Last nights crafting

Had a nice evening crafting last night :-) I decided to make up the left over card kits from my last class. Slowly but surely building up my stock of Christmas cards for this year!

The top 2 were CASED from pininterest (sorry I can't remember who!) and I got the inspiration for the 3rd one from pininterest but put my own twist on it.

I love the word thinlits dies, they can be fiddely but so worth it! Also loving the new snowflake stamps and matching framelits dies. I had a friend who recently was discussing with me the need for a big shot. She's recently started her stamping adventure and is loving it! She thought at first she could get away without having a big shot but admitted the other night she keeps seeing so much inspiration with them that now she needs one! I love my big shot!

My top 3 can't do without tools are probably the big shot, punches and now the new envelope punch board. If you haven't got one yet check it out in my online shop! Just click the little shopping trolley and get started :-) what are your "can't do without" crafting tools?
